1988 Yamaha FZX 750

F reg fzx750 for sale 31,200.k.m.on the clock, purchased from bat motorcycles in 1998 who imported it, totally original with v-max shocks I have the original ones but they very pitted in places,
k&n airfilters, givi rack, grab rail (not on the bike), owners workshop manual and dealers service information manual.
The mot expires august 2010. The bike had new tyres about 600 miles ago,
The bike runs very well and has had no problems at all, the right hand exhaust has a few dents at the end and the down pipes are a chrome/rust mix , some are better condition than others, the frame has rust in small areas all the chrome is in good condition, more pictures can be e-mailed.

Great condition for its age and runs perfectly. I bought this bike a few years ago and fixed it up a bit but due to losing my job i need to sell it on. Im gutted at having to because this bike is brilliant. The Perfect bike for an enthusiast.
Here are the bad points to start :(
Some little gits tried (unsuccessfully) to steal the bike and damaged the Ignition Barrel and petrol Cap. I have replaced the barrel with a brand new one and the damage to the cap was superficial.
The Little shits pushed the bike over when they couldn’t steal it so one of the mirrors was broken and ive not had time to fix but it is a very very easy fix and cheap.
Ok now for the good Stuff :)
Since i got the bike ive completely replaced the front forks. As with any bike this old the front forks are usually pitted and the seals usually only last a few months. Not on this beauty. Forks are polished and new as well as the seals :)
Ive also bought new tires, brake discs and pads.
The MOT ran out on January but it will pass easily as ive had it checked by a yamaha mechanic, just in case anything was wrong before i put it up for sale, and he agreed that it would sail through the MOT
Tax is cheap for a bike this old as well and to insure it is really really cheap.
Im truly gutted at having to let this bike go. Any biker will fall in love with it at first sight.
Now im posting it at £1200, i paid over that for it for it and spent money in fixing it up (£250 on the forks alone) but because im desperate and the fact i had to replace the barrel im selling it cheaper. Im willing to accept offers but will not entertain stupid ones.
Im happy to allow a test drive but only if you have the cash as well as ur driving liscense as proof.
